Thank you for your interest in The Hampstead Factory. The unusual name The Hampstead Factory originated from its first location at a converted shoe factory in Hampstead, London in 1998 with a handful of workshops held for youngsters in the summertime. From these small beginnings grew the main philosophy of "learning through enjoyment". In addition to this came the structured teaching methods and techniques consistently taught by The Hampstead Factory teachers. We still have a strong bond with London with many of the masterclass performers and our own teachers having trod the boards in London's West End. The first Gloucestershire school opened in Tewkesbury in 2001, with Cheltenham and Gloucester following in 2002 and Swindon in 2004. The children's agency has grown alongside the schools with the "online" agency opening in 2004. The unique Hampstead Factory methods are designed to help pupils grow in confidence while learning valuable life skills. We aim to build self-esteem, improve diction and aid team co-operation while encouraging independence, individualism and more. In addition we pride ourselves in giving the highest standard of training in the performing arts and regular guests giving masterclasses from TV and Theatre.
