Trinity Guildhall Examinations

Trinity Guildhall Examinations

Every year as part of our Summer Shows we put all of our groups forward for Trinity Guildhall Examinations.

Little Angels  (4-7 Years)
Little Angels take Young Performers Certificates a new set of Trinity Guildhall examinations especially designed for younger performers. In these examinations they must show a number of specific performance skills and then are given a certificate, written feedback and coloured sticker. Having written feedback without a 'mark' allows the younger pupils to perform and achieve without any stress of passing an exam. The exams range from Bronze through Silver and on to Gold, and in each there are a different number of skills to complete. Once the groups have taken all three stages they can move onto the other Trinity Guildhall examinations below.

Juniors (8-11's) and Seniors (12-17's)
Our older groups take two different Trinity Guildhall exams alternately. Musical Theatre in which they perform drama, dance and singing and Performance Arts in which they perform the above skills with 'extra' contributary skills like devising, stage-fighting and choreography. In these exams they take a specific grade and are given a mark within that grade of fail, pass, merit, high-merit or distinction. The groups are awarded certificates with written feedback from the examiner. The groups are marked as groups and not individuals so the entire group derives one mark.
